We are pleased to announce that we will be open on Saturdays from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm. through November.
We still have regular potatoes, sweet potatoes, onions (all 50 cents / lb.), squash (25 cents /lb.), tomatoes ($2 /lb., pound sales only), beets, cabbage, carrots, bell peppers and a variety of hot peppers. We also have decorating items still available, perfect for your holiday table.
Because of the difficulty of heating The Produce Shed, we will be located in the blue garage across from The Produce Shed. Look for the signs.
Use a mini to hold a placecard. Having a buffet or taking something to a potluck dinner? Put the name of the dish on a card, slice the mini & insert the card. So festive!
Mary Ann and Galen are happy to report that Pumpkin Days 2013 was a great success. They listened to customers' past comments and suggestions. They came up with a great new plan, and were able to work all of the bugs out of the process.
Since our new system was such a success, Galen and Mary Ann have decided to extend the season and plan to be open Saturdays in November from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm.
Customers said they really liked the new layout - the pumpkins are located behind The Produce Shed. The pumpkins had been hand picked and brought in from the field by Mary Ann and Galen so they could present you with the best selection of pumpkins of all sizes to choose from. Our customers also enjoyed the pricing system of paying per pound. Many people actually paid less money for their pumpkins than they have in the past years. A lot of the kids loved trying to guess how much their pumpkin weighed.
The customers also enjoyed interacting directly with Mary Ann and Galen and getting to know the owners of the Garden of Weedin'. As a family owned and operated business, we also enjoyed getting to know our long-time customers even better, and being able to greet new customers.
We hope you enjoyed your time at the Garden, and we look forward to seeing you for Pumpkin Days 2014. Don't forget The Produce Shed is fully stocked with delicious veggies and great decorating items. Some display items are also for sale - check with Mary Ann.
Watch the website to stay updated on our hours and the availability of produce for the remainder of the year.
