Dexter's Page
Oct. 3, 2020: Just let me take a nap. Being the official greeter and playing with everybody is hard work. I can't keep up with Mary Ann. (Nobody can!)
4 weeks old - on the breeder's website...
Mary Ann choosing Dexter (or did Dexter choose Mary Ann?)
3 months old & playing in the snow with Galen...
6 months old, playing with Mr. Fox, his new present...
9 months old - with his blanket....
1 year old - in the pumpkin patch...
Tessa came out last year and this year to play with Dexter. He looks for her every Friday night. Last Friday night her brother Grady came with - so Dexter had even more fun playing.
Dexter is ready to play...
Who is having more fun?
Dexter and Hank becoming friends...
Yea! Hank is having fun with Dexter...
Tired after a long day of supervising Mary Ann...
Santa may be watching and I hope he'lll bring me a present when he sees how good I am.
On patrol in the yard...
Is Dexter supervising or hoping Galen misses getting the carrot in the bucket?
Quality control...snacking on a sweet potato...
Dexter is tired - keeping up with Mary Ann all day is hard work!
July 22 - Dexter is 9 months old today!
Here he is, helping Mary Ann weed.
Those weeds don't stand a chance!
Yikes! What moved into the garden?
If I dug a hole like that in the garden, I'd be in BIG trouble!
Dexter with his blanket. He's going to be comfy while Mary Ann works.
Now that the sweet potatoes have been safely transferred to the Greenhouse, it's time for a nap.
Guarding plaints is hard work. Trying to keep up with Mary Ann is even harder!
Guarding the sweet potatoes. He is Mary Ann's helper. Or maybe he doesn't want her to go anywhere without him.
Taking a branch to Diesel.
We miss you big guy.
Dexter working at his new job - Branch Manager of the Garden of Weedin'.
I might have to wait a few more weeks before I can move the big one!
Let me get this out of the garden...
Hey, Dexter, do you want to trade Mr. Fox for a nice new toy? The way he is protecting Mr. Fox I'm guessing the answer is NO! But he's happy to have Mr. Moose as long as he can keep Mr. Fox (or what's left of him). Any guesses how long the new toy lasts?
Dexter is seven months old. Mr. Fox is 1 month old and has had a hard life. We haven't found an indestructible toy yet!
Six months old and 58.5 pounds. He's enjoying his new toy - Mr. Fox.
Do you think they see me?
King of the mountain ...
Playing in the January snow. At least somebody was enjoying it...
Three months old on December 22. He is going to be a big boy!
Look at the size of that paw!
All buckled up and excited to be going for a ride with Mary Ann. He doesn't know he's on his way to the vet for his check up.
He has is big boy ears now.
He's easy to spot in the snow.
Yes, he found a carrot too. He is teething right now, so loves to chew. Mary Ann has given him ice cubes to help with teething. He loves them!
Guess who found the seed potatoes....
He has a name! Say hello to Dexter! Isn't he just the cutest little guy? Of course he isn't going to be little for long.
Meet, well we don't know what his name is yet.
Christmas came early at the Garden of Weedin' when Mary Ann and Galen brought home this adorable 9 week old, 17 pound bundle of lovable trouble. He has puppy ears - they both aren't standing up straight yet. He is a German Shepherd and true to his breed, extremely smart. He will be keeping Mary Ann & Galen busy and entertaining them with his antics.
Keep watching to see this little guy grow. We'll let you know as soon as he has a name.
