Garden of Weedin'

Beginning September 1st, The Produce Shed will be open on Monday, Wednesday and Friday evenings from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm.  Not all items are ready at this time, and some veggies have just started to produce.  They will be available in limited quanities.   Keep checking this page to find out what Mary Ann is stocking in The Produce Shed.

Tomatoes (Mary Ann is beginning to fill bushel orders.  She will let you know when your order is ready.)

Hot Peppers (these are just beginning to produce.  If you want hot peppers, please contact Mary Ann 24 to 48 hours in advance so she can be sure you have the peppers you want.)

(Bell peppers are NOT ready yet.  Due to the wash-out, Mary Ann had to replant bell peppers so they will be a little late this year, but we will have them.)

Gone for the season:  Cucumbers

The extremely wet weather has caused the spread of a fungus in the cucumber patch which has caused the patch to die out. 

The rain can cause a delay in filling orders for beans.  Beans cannot be picked when they are wet, or they will rust and turn brown.  Thank you for your understanding.

The people you will meet in the pumpkin patch and the Produce Shed during Pumpkin Picking Days are all volunteers, who are donating their time to help Mary Ann keep prices low for everyone.  Without their assistance Pumpkin Picking Days could not be a success.  Mary ann hopes you will join her in thanking the volunteers - some of whom use vacation days to help - for their time and efforts!
